Special Events
The goal of special events hosted by the New Castle Recreation and Parks Department is
to bring the community together in family-oriented activities. Most of these events are
conducted annually and they are constantly refined to attract more participation. A total
of over 7000 people attended the department's special events in 2006. Past events include:
Halloween / Ragamuffin Parade (See the Fall 2006 Program
Brochure);
New Castle 10K Race (Now run Sunday, May 20, 2007); Summer Concerts; and the Ruth Mann Dance Recital (See the Spring/Summer
2007 Program Brochure).
