The New Castle Recreation and Parks Department offers charter bus trips to ski areas in the Berkshires and Catskills for ages 11 and up. The program is designed for skiers and snowboarders and offers a Learn-To-Ski or Snowboard package that includes bus, beginner lift ticket, lesson and equipment rental. In 2005-2006, five trips were offered averaging 55 participants per trip. The first ski trip for the 2006-2007 Ski Season will be to Windham on Sunday, December 17, 2006.

The New Castle Recreation Department will also post updates on ski trip locations, delayed departures or returns or other trip changes on the department's 24-hour answering machine at
