Ski Trip Schedule

IN ORDER TO SKI, ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR A HELMET

Ski Rentals From Ski Areas Are Available For $20.00 (Snowboard Rentals: $25.00, Helmets: $10.00)

*** LEARN TO SKI PACKAGE FOR BEGINNERS *** A Learn To Ski Package will be offered for $95.00 ($100.00 for Learn to Snowboard Package) and includes bus, a beginner lift ticket, ski (or snowboard) equipment rental, and beginner lesson. Please indicate to the Recreation Office if you are interested in this package when you register.

ELIGIBILITY: Residents of the Town of New Castle and/or Chappaqua School District: 11 years old - Adults.

LEADERSHIP: New Castle Recreation and Parks Dept. will provide adult chaperones with Trish Lacy as program director. Certified skiing instructors will be from the individual ski areas.

TRIP SIGN-UP: Applications can be obtained at the New Castle Recreation and Parks office, Town Hall between 8:45am-4:30pm Monday through Friday. Registration starts for all trips November 27th.

• Checks for trips are due in the Recreation Office upon signing up - Payable to: TOWN OF NEW CASTLE.
• The Sign-up deadline for each trip is the WEDNESDAY before the trip by 3:00PM.
• Registration after the Wednesday before the trip, will be on a space available basis 
  and must be in by 12 noon Friday.
• Anyone canceling after Wednesday, or failing to show for a trip, will be charged a $25.00 Cancellation fee.

To Reserve Your Seat You Must Come In to Register For The Trip.

No Reservations Will Be Taken By Phone.

Seats are filled, FIRST PAID FIRST SERVED.

SKI TRIP UPDATES: The New Castle Recreation and Parks Dept. may change ski areas, delay departure, or cancel a trip pending registration, weather, or snow conditions. Please check with our 24hr. answering machine 238-2540 for up-to-date changes in areas, or delay in bus departures or returns.

The undersigned, understanding that there are risks of serious injury inherent in skiing, and/or snowboarding, and in consideration of having their above son/daughter permitted to participate in the NEW CASTLE RECREATION SKI TRIPS sponsored by the NEW CASTLE RECREATION AND PARKS COMMISSION, hereby assumes all risks of any personal injury or damage to personal property, sustained while undertaking this activity and hereby releases the TOWN OF NEW CASTLE; the NEW CASTLE RECREATION AND PARKS COMMISSION; the NEW CASTLE RECREATION AND PARKS DEPARTMENT; CHAPPAQUA TRANSPORTATION COMPANY; the ski areas of SKI WINDHAM, JIMINY PEAK, and CATAMOUNT; their employees; and the Recreation Staff and Ski Chaperones from any and all liability for any injury or damages which may be suffered by the above skier, or snowboarder, while engaged in such activity.

In the event of injury, I give my permission for my child named above to be taken to a hospital for treatment to include evaluation of injury, X-ray, and needed medical care. I, the undersigned, understand that I will be responsible for all the costs for the medical care of my child. I understand that if my child cancels after the Wednesday before a trip, or fails to show for a trip, a $25.00 Cancellation/No Show fee will be charged.
