Board of Assessment Review
Reviews and adjudicates assessment challenges. Grievance hearings are held the third

Environmental Review Board
Assists in the enforcement of the Town wetland's

Planning Board
Advises the Town Board and other agencies and departments on all
matters affecting community development. It has regulatory authority over the approval of
site plans and subdivisions during the development process including planning and

Recreation Commission
Determines policy on recreation programs operated by the professional Recreation Department staff headed by the Superintendent of Recreation. It develops short
and long-term plans for parks, and sponsors activities for people of all ages, from pre-school to

Zoning Board of Appeals
Reviews cases where the strict application of the Zoning Ordinance would create
hardship. After a public hearing, may grant variances (such as in building setbacks or lot
sizes) consistent with the purpose of the Ordinance; also may grant special use permits
