- Chief Elected Official of the Town and is a member of the Town Board -
establishes agendas for Town Board Meetings and presides over them;
votes as a member of the Town Board.
- Signs all agreements and contracts on behalf of the Town, when
authorized to do so by the Town Board.
- Chief Fiscal Officer for the Town - responsible for maintaining
financial stability of the Town and insuring residents that all funds
are accounted for and expended properly.

Elected 2007 as new Town Board member
- Along with the Supervisor, constitute the Town Board - Formal Town
Board Meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month,
while informal work session meetings are held on the first and third
Tuesdays.
- The Town Board is the local legislative and policymaking body - the
Board adopts and amends local laws regulating the town governance;
promulgates policies about the conducting of government business;
controls the use of all Town property, except that directly supervised
by the Recreation Commission; adopts the annual Town Budget and
establishes the tax levy for General, Highway and related funds; and
serves as Commissioners of all special Town Districts.

- Receiver of Taxes - appointed by the Town Board

- The Receiver of Taxes is responsible for collection of county, town and school taxes
- Prints and sends tax bills, records payments, prepares deposits, sends
tax receipts and delinquent notices, and prepares lists of delinquent
taxes and In Rem lists. Calculates small claim and
certiorari refunds caused by assessment reductions, and prepares
necessary paperwork for the Town, County and school districts.
- Note: new property owners are requested to notify tax department
- Taxes are due whether or not property owner receives notification
- Town and county taxes are due on April 30th
- School taxes are due in two halves on September 30th and January 31st

- Town Historian - appointed by the Town Board

- Responsible for programs for preserving and expanding appreciation of the community's
history
- Chairs the Landmark Advisory Committee
