The Town of New Castle is developing an All-Hazard Mitigation Plan to identify natural and man-made hazards that, should they occur, would impact the health and safety or our residents, modify our natural and man-made environment, and cause damage to property and the local economy. The plan further identifies methods to mitigate these negative impacts to ensure the continuation of our quality of life.
There are three documents posted below:
o Executive Summary: this provides a brief and concrete overview of the entire plan.
o Section 6, Mitigation Strategies: this excerpt contains goals and objectives to reduce risk and loss, and strategies and initiatives that will be implemented to address critical issues outlined therein.
o The All-Hazard Mitigation Plan draft in its entirety.
Hard copies of the Executive Summary and Section 6 may be found at the Chappaqua Library 195 S. Greeley Ave. and the New Castle Town Clerk's office, 200 S. Greeley Ave., Chappaqua.
