Memorial Day Parade- Join the New Castle Police, a color guard provided by the Vietnam Veteran's of America, and the New Castle Town Board and Justices as they march along the streets of Chappaqua in honor of this federal holiday.  Stand on the edges of the street and cheer on those who are walking to honor the military servicemen and women who have died to keep our country alive.

Summer Concerts-
Each summer the New Castle Gazebo comes alive with music.  It is the perfect spot to pack your picnic basket (free of glass containers, please), lay out a blanket and have a nice dinner on the grass.  Bring the children along, or keep it to yourselves as you enjoy great, live music.  All concerts begin at 7p.m.

Ragamuffin Parade- It's a rare sight, a ghost and princess holding hands and skipping down the street, but at the Annual Halloween Ragamuffin Parade, it is actually rather common!  The perfect place for kids to show off their costumes, and strut in their very own parade, the Ragamuffin parade is fun for all.  Music will be played throughout the parade, and there are always several kinds of entertainers to play with the kids.  Donuts and apple juice are provided.  This playful parade is a must!

Strawberry Festival- This annual festival that is based around, you guessed it, strawberries! Strawberries are the main theme, but you will be amazed by how far they take it.  There are strawberry pies, candies, pastries and cookies of all different varieties for sale, but that is not all.  There is also a carnival full of face painters, games and pony rides to entertain the kids while you shop around.  A great tradition full of fun for all!  Sponsored by Church of St. Mary the Virgin. Bell School Craft and Gift Fair- Planned deliberately to precede the holiday season, the Bell School Craft Fair is the perfect spot to purchase gifts for the whole family.  With more than 70 vendors, selling all types of gifts from pottery to handbags, this is exactly where to find anything that you need for friends or family.  While at the fair, enjoy homemade goodies and arts & crafts for the kids.  Then return home with full bellies and full arms of presents to hide until the holidays.  Don't miss this delightful fair!

Community Day- New Castle is a full and welcoming community and each year they take a day to congratulate and celebrate that fact.  Community Day is basically a large and festive carnival, sponsored by the Chappaqua Rotary, full of over 50 different kinds of exhibition booths.  People from all areas of town come to participate and help including local merchants, school organizations, fire and police departments, arts organizations, after-school programs, NCCTV, local and perhaps national politicians and more.  Net proceeds will bet donated to local charities and there is a blood drive.  You can have fun and help out, so what are you waiting for?  Make sure to come and celebrate!

Skateboard Park- Visit the New Castle/Pleasantville Skate Park located in the Commuter Parking Lot at the Chappaqua Train Station. Skaters ages 5 and up may use the park.  Ten years and younger must have accompanied by an adult. Open late June- late October. Click here for current information.

Chappaqua Antiques Show- This two day antique show is New Castle's biggest fund-raiser!  With a wide range of items from necklaces to quilts and to old fashioned tables, the Antiques Show is the perfect place to find a gift for your loved ones or for yourself!  Relax over a gourmet lunch and accompanied with music, and then let yourself loose on the show!  You are guaranteed to fall in love with an item or two.  The best part is that all proceeds go to charity, so you are also helping the community!

NCCTV- This award winning public television station was created "to strengthen our sense of community and enhance the quality of life of the residents of New Castle," which basically means to make your life better and keep you informed.  This is TV based around the lives of the residents of New Castle and it tackles those issues about which you may be wondering.  It broadcasts those shows that are of interest to you, including the Greeley concerts and the Town Board Meetings.  NCCTV is a great resource, so make sure you take advantage of it. 9/11 Memorial- Located in Gedney Park, visit the 9/11 Memorial for a time of reflection in honor of those who died on September 11th.  The Memorial was dedicated  on September 11, 2008.

Westchester County Mobile Shredder- Shred your documents to keep your identity and the environment safe!  Periodically the shred mobile visits the New Castle Recycling Center at 210 Hunts Lane in Chappaqua and all your paper will be shredded and then recycled.  Check the DPW-Recycling for information as to when the Shred Mobile is coming to town.  For further recycling information, please call Westchester County's Recycling Helpline 914-813-5420 or e-mail r This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Household Chemical Clean-up Days- Always wondering what to do with those nasty chemicals clogging up the area under your sink?  Take them over to the County Recycling Center in Yonkers and get rid of them safely.  See the town website for upcoming dates. If you have questions, please visit www.westchestergov.com or call the County's Household Chemical Info Line at (914) 813-5425.

Town-Wide Clean-up Day- An annual spring event where the town's residents and merchants get together to clean up the town.  Families, scouts, students and merchants will all adopt streets in New castle to collect the trash that is blocking the beauty of our town.  Be sure to volunteer and help out!

Community Center- A bustling center of activity for New Castle, the Community Center houses events for all ages from birthday parties to seniors' aerobics to the inauguration of Town officials.  The Community Center offers a wide variety of workshops and activities so that everyone can find some event that fits him or her.  Recently, the basement of the Community Center was converted to a Senior Center to give the seniors in New Castle a place to socialize, dance and exercise and even search the internet.  Be sure to stop by and take advantage of this useful gem. Art Center- The New Castle Arts Center is the town's most popular facility for town programs. It offers one of the finest children's workshops in Westchester County. The dedicated staff of teachers provides a unique atmosphere that contributes to the growth and creativity of each participant.
