The park offers a multi-purpose athletic field that include a lighted baseball field
which is used by the Town's youth leagues, men's softball and "The Over 30" baseball
programs. Recreation Field is also the site of the Town's Gazebo where the
Recreation Department sponsors summer concerts. In the mid 1950's, Tercia Brook
was re-aligned and land fill acquired to create the field which was lighted
through the 1960's. A new lighting system was installed in 1991. A modern playground,
which was built and funded by community volunteers, is located next to the Recreation
Field behind the New Castle Town Hall at 200 South Greeley Ave. in Chappaqua,
NY.
Town residents may reserve the Gazebo or Recreation Field.
