Gedney Park offers something for everyone: hiking and walking trails,
scenic views, ice skating, sledding,
a picnic area and picnic shelter, a year-round comfort station, a playground,
soccer fields, tennis courts, horseshoe pits and baseball fields. The park was
purchased in 1964 for $145,000 (the state paid 50%) and was known as Millwood
Park. The Park's house was purchased for $42,000 in 1969, while the pond
was created in 1971. The Gedney Park Entrance is on the right hand side
of Route 133, a 1/2 mile east of the Village of Millwood.
Town residents may reserve any of the Athletic Fields or the
Picnic Shelter.
