In addition to the New Castle Police patrols that respond to all alarm calls in town, any of the local volunteer emergency services may also respond based on the nature and location of the alarm.
Fire Alarms are investigated by the Chappaqua Fire Department, Millwood Fire Company or Mount Kisco Fire Department
Emergency Medical Alarms are investigated by the Chappaqua Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Mount Kisco Lions Ambulance Corps or Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps

While the Police Department is a full time paid agency which maintains 24 hour patrols in the town, the other emergency services are all volunteer.  Volunteers may be standing by in quarters as is the policy for the Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps or on call by radio pager.
